New Falcon electric buses launched at Brooklands Museum

Falcon goes electric!

We launched the first of our brand new fleet of next-generation Alexander Dennis Enviro200EV vehicles with a stakeholder event held at Brooklands Museum in Weybridge.

The purchase of these 13 fully electric zero-emission buses has been supported by the UK Government following a successful bid for funding by Surrey County Council in partnership with Falcon Buses.

They will soon be seen running on routes 436 between Weybridge and Woking, serving Brooklands Museum and Mercedes-Benz World, as well as on route 461 between Kingston, Walton on Thames, Weybridge, Addlestone and St Peter's Hospital.

Each of the new British-built buses is 10.9m long and can carry up to 37 seated passengers. Two wheelchair and buggy spaces make them easy to use for passengers with reduced mobility and those travelling with pushchairs.

We have specified a high-quality finish to the manufacturer's new interior styling, including wood effect flooring, part-leather seats and USB charging points throughout, to create a welcoming environment for passengers.

The new buses also feature full air-conditioning, helping to provide a comfortable journey in all seasons!

At our launch event stakeholders were able to preview the new vehicles, along with a bus ride to see the new charging infrastructure that has been installed at our depot in Byfleet by commercial e-fleet experts VEV.

Our electric upgrade has started, and these dazzling new buses will soon be entering service - firstly on route 436 from the end of July, with route 461 following later in the Summer.
