Important information for Young Person, Child & Student tickets
We offer a range of cost effective tickets for young people to travel with us right up until their 19th Birthday.
- Young Person fares are for young adults aged 16 to 18 and can be bought up until their 19th Birthday (these were previously known as Yugo fares)
- Child fares are for children aged 5 to 15 and can be bought up until their 16th Birthday
- Children under 5 travel free when accompanied by an adult. (up to 2 children per adult)
- Student fares are available for those aged 5 to 18 who are in education and are only available for our school routes
Verification Required
After purchasing a Young Person (16-18) or Child (5-15) ticket you'll be required to upload a passport style photo of yourself and use our age verification service to confirm your entitlement before you can use your first ticket. We accept passports, driving licences, birth certificates and CitizenCards.
Please follow the instructions on our app or website when buying your ticket and note this process can take up to 48 hours.
Student tickets holders are not currently required to use our age verification service.
How to complete the verification process...
Step 1 - click on Get Started
Step 2 - upload a selfie, making sure you follow the instructions given (otherwise your photo will not be accepted)
Step 3 - you will need to upload your supporting ID. Instructions will be sent to your email (please check your junk folder if not received).
Step 4 - follow the instructions in the email to upload your supporting ID
Step 5 - choose the file for your supporting ID and click upload.
